It is worthy of mention that 90% of startup businesses fail because they went into selling product or service nobody wanted, you end up with tons of products you can't sell, not that there is anything wrong with the product or you don't know how to sell, but you started selling things nobody had need of. So let's help you not make the same mistake you might have made in the past or about to make.

 Use your Whatsapp status

It is good practice to always harness the full potential of free tools when you want to go into small businesses. It saves you money and you loose next to nothing if the business doesn't actually work out. It is 100% money safe proof. You need to update your whatsapp status with great photos of actual products. The average person checks their phones daily a minimum of 47 times, most of the time when people are idling time they tend to go through other people's whatsapp status, if you have great pictures of actual products, litter them throughout your status and wait for the chats to start coming in. Buying stuff online is more of a visual thing than it is common sense. Here is a common mistake most people make, they tend to go for what is already available and easily accessible, these are products you can get in your normal brick and morta store, as much as possible try to go for products that people can't easily buy from any store or by the road side. Engage those who chat with you to find out if you have the product and how much it cost, and if they don't reside where you reside it is good you factor in the shipping cost should you close a deal. Whatsapp is safer because these are people in your contact and you have built some relationship with.

2. Buy and ship with the customer's money.

Dropshipping doesn't require you to own the product, all you need do is fulfill the customer's request with product from the wholesaler, and when the order is fulfilled and payment is made, you can pay the wholesaler and keep your profit. 

The other way is to request the customer to pay upfront, and then use the customers money to fulfill their order, while you keep your profit.
